State-run BSNL will be offering up to 300 GB data per month as part of its Unlimited 249 broadband plan, according to a report . The telco will also be giving partial free calls during night time.
The plan will have validity till next six months post which it will be changed to Rs 499 plan. The plan was available to BSNL users till March but according to a BSNL executive, it will be available for sometime more.
Under the plan, users will get up to 10GB daily data with speeds up to 2Mbps. After exhausting the 10 GB data limit, the speeds will be reduced to 1 Mbps.
BSNL will also allow users to make unlimited free calls between 9pm to 7am on Sundays as part of the plan.
The plan is valid across all circles except J&K and Andaman and Nicobar regions. The unused data from the 10GB cap will be carried forward to the next day.
Users will be required to submit security deposit of Rs. 249 to avail the offer, and the minimum hire period is one month.
